As a result of this sale, we expected to see some changes to the Boost plan lineup, and in early July we reported on some initial plan changes. Now just a month later, Boost is making some additional changes including adding new " unlimited " plans that are very limited. Boost introduced a new 'unlimited' smartphone plan lineup called Go Unlimited which replaces its previous unlimited options.
Carriers have long tortured the definition of "unlimited," but Boost's new plans are one of the more extreme examples. After 35GB of use, all data speeds are throttled to 2G speeds for the rest of the month.
This effectively means that these "unlimited" plans are actually 35GB plans. This limitation follows on the changes made to Boost's previous unlimited plans in early July - the "Unlimited Gigs" and "Unlimited Plus" plans. With the "Go Unlimited" plans, that change becomes a definite hard throttle. It's not clear if this hard throttle will retroactively apply to customers on the older plans. One other thing to note about these plans in the mobile hotspot limit. The longer you stay on the plan, the monthly rate will decrease.
The on-time payments do not have to occur consecutively. These plans can be mixed and matched to create a family plan. Boost's current plans are classified as being either on their "Expanded Data Network" or their "Nationwide Network. There isn't a very clear or thorough explanation on their site as to what the difference is between these two networks, and Boost wasn't very forthcoming when we inquired. However we have some thoughts on what the difference may be.
As far as we can tell, the plans on the "Expanded Data Network" have access to T-Mobile as the primary network while the plans on the "Nationwide Network" are on the legacy Sprint network.
Also of note is the fact that the Nationwide Network Plans can be bundled as family plans, with discounted pricing available for each additional line. You can add up 5 lines in a bundle. As part of the merger between Sprint and T-Mobile, the new T-Mobile agreed to provide 5G access to its network for Dish customers for the next several years.

I continue to NOT receive calls all day everyday, the services have been faulty from the first day I ever activated a phone with them! Do NOT use Boost! I have a ton of text and email proof of family, friends and clients that have tried to call me several times and the phone never rings on my end!!!
The company will not do anything for you! After a month of complaining, literally from day one of me activating a brand new phone with them this is how they are, ignorant, very incompetent and are only here to take your money while providing deplorable service all around, phone service and customer service!!
This company is a joke you will regret it if you use them!! Run away from boost mobile. What they dont tell you us they wont unlock your phone so if you try to take your phone somewhere else then you cant.
I call customer service and got nothing but rudeness so i took all the boost phones and started a big bon fire with them and went to a real company ATT. Definitely would strongly suggest a different phone service. I called to get the covid. Which I had paid that month they told me to that i qualified and that he would put it in the notes so that when i called back to have them give me monthly services free on the 6th today that I wouldnt have no problems.
What a joke. Definitely switching service. Wow, I have been in business for over 30 years, I have a cell phone for the majority of that time, and I have had a lot of different types of phones, and different types of carriers,…. My Phone 11 stopped taking phone calls 3 weeks ago. I have been on their technical support team 8 times now, and every time, they ask the exact same questions, the go through the exact same script of solutions that do not work, and they have no record of the conversations I have previously had.

You should change what speeds were actually being measured. Verizon does not have 24Megabytes per second download.
That is insane cellular data speeds and is very very misleading. Mbps stands for Megabits. When you download those speed test apps or go to websites testing your internet speed, you are testing the Megabits. So you should be seeing Mbps when you measure your speeds on the websites and apps. I am very certain you are not seeing such speeds via cell data lol. Not even close actually. If you'd like a screen cap I can easily get you a few tested over the last half year or so.
Some places Verizon is faster or as fast. However T-Mobile's coverage kind of stinks. It's either all or nothing and you get nothing far too frequently whereas Verizon can range from slow to fast, but it always works. So speed tests are interesting, but I'm really more interested in consistent good performance in the most places, not rockin' fast performance in spots.
Based on my experience, that's how these two measure up. Despite that, I'm eyeing the day I can switch to T-Mobile. Sadly some places I currently need coverage remote rural T-Mobile simply has no signal whatsoever. Definitely depends on which part of the Country you are in. Maybe I'm just in a really great spot, but I get around Mbps download and 15 upload Sprint, Galaxy S7 Edge, Ookla speedtest app and these results are fairly consistent.
These tests are always meaningless. Verizon spends its money in cities. Sprint is hardly a national carrier, drive through flyover country with a sprint phone and you will be roaming on the verizon network most of the time. I'm in North jersey and since my galaxy S8 got here last week I've been averaging download speeds on sprint btwn 35mbps to 45mbps with two tests this weekend as high as 67mbps.
Those speeds are twice as fast as what I was getting with my S6 five days ago.
