Their BTS-soundtracked premiere dance? After finishing in last place during season 29, pro dancer Emma may have a chip on her shoulder, so country star Jimmie Allen better be ready to groove. Melora is in the hands of last year's winner, so the stakes are high and the performances should be superb! Sounds like the perfect pair. OK, Peloton instructor and influencer Cody seriously has the unfair advantage of being with the show's most seasoned pro.
This will be Cheryl's 24th season!! DWTS pic. Expectations are hiiiigh for this pair. Last year was Britt's first on the series, where she became the show's first Black female professional dancer. Seeing her routines with the Cobra Kai actor should be fun!
She is gone with the wind fabulous, ofc. Bling Empire's "couture queen" and the three season DWTS veteran are going to shine on the dance floor, we just know it.
The former Bachelor and former mirrorball champ will no doubt tear this dance floor up. There are plenty of dance pros who dated their celebrity contestants and honestly, after all the hours they spend together every day in rehearsal, can you really blame them? There have even been dance pros in relationships with each other.
Although there have been roughly a billion rumored DWTS romances, these 15 are percent confirmed. Some you probably already remember, like when Selling Sunset star Chrishell Stause dated pro Keo Motsepe , which ended, er, not so well.
But others, like when Mario Lopez dated dancer Karina Smirnoff, may have slipped your mind. Buckle up and get ready to dive into every confirmed Dancing With the Stars relationship! Alexis and Alan didn't even try to hide their romance while they were partnered on the show. Remember that on-air kiss during the show's country-themed night?? But this fling didn't last long, annd they broke up just a few months after the show wrapped. Val and Amber weren't even paired up on Dancing With the Stars she competed with Val's brother Maksim , but the two still dated for a a few months before calling things off.
So it took everyone by surprise when she posted a pic on IG confirming she was dating another pro from the show: Keo. They broke up earlier this year and Chrishell flat-out called him a liar in an Instagram Story. Who could resist a Cheetah Girl? Certainly not Mark Ballas. These two started dating while dancing together on season 5, but the romance ended pretty much right when the season did. These two pro dancers dated for a hot minute in before going their separate ways.
But just a few years later, they got back together, got engaged, and tied the knot in Actress Shannon Elizabeth, who you might recognize from American Pie, and her partner Derek Hough started dating while they were partnered together for season 9.
They kept their relationship going for about a year afterwards before splitting amicably. They ended up dating for over two years before splitting up. After ending things with Mario, Karina started dating fellow pro Maksim. Knowing our pros so well, trying to find the best partnerships possible. They're going to argue about a cha-cha step, but you really want them to be a unit, to be together.
There's some people that actually like to be trained harder. Some of the athletes like to be coached different than maybe an actor or somebody else. So that I meet every single one of them because I want every single partnership to shine. That makes a ton of sense, of course. It wouldn't do anyone any good if Dancing with the Stars just paired people together willy nilly. While viewers may not completely comprehend it just from watching weekly episodes, it takes a ton of patience, understanding, kinship and agreeability to be dance partners with someone, particularly if one of those partners isn't a natural.
So if there are particular stars who need more guidance and are accepting of such things, it makes sense to pair them with pros who are good at teaching and working slowly, while stars who have more natural abilities are better fits for pros who are good at pushing their partners to go beyond their expectations.
Of course, that line of thinking is also tied intrinsically to the concept of height, since it's not like the aforementioned Charles Oakley or Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in Season 26 can be paired with just anyone, regardless of personalities or talents. But when height isn't as much of an issue, it's all about finding the chemistry. Deena Katz continued:.
You know, they get thrown into something that they've never been in before. Suddenly they're someone they don't know. And Derek can talk to this.
It's their mentor. It's their therapist. It's their coach. It's so many things all in one; their brother, their sister. And, so, it has to be a partnership. And from the moment they meet each other, there's trust and there's loyalty and that they can actually shine together. That absolutely makes sense, considering a lot of celebrities who join Dancing with the Stars aren't necessarily used to going so widely public with less-than-perfect performances. So it definitely helps them to have pros that are both encouraging and also able to offer up key advice when celebs aren't feeling confident or physically capable.
As far as picking the celebrities themselves, Deena Katz talked about that being a different kind of challenge for which they attempt to cast the widest net of interest possible.
